  • On August 21, Forever Knights will host a celebration marking their 10th anniversary! This year, the guild turns 10 years old, and everyone's invited to their in-game party! They'll have competitions, epic prizes, and loads of fun. To top it off, Blade Radio will be supplying the music.   • The latest issue of GuildMag is out! This special issue is packed with 28 pages of comprehensive War in Kryta coverage! Learn more about the lore behind the war and key historical figures involved in the War in Kryta. The latest issue is available from the GuildMag website.

  • The Saw Alliance will host a running competition, the "Road Challenge," administered by members of the South African Warlords guild. All details and logistics of this event are found on their event page.

  • GuildMag's latest issue is now available! Inside, you'll find articles about the asura, the lore of Orr, summer fashion, Weh No Su status, the goddess Dwayna, and more! Plus, GuildMag has partnered with Guild Wars 2 Guru to host a contest to win either a Shining Blade or a White Mantle costume code! It's all in the latest issue of GuildMag, available at their website here.

  • But wait! That's not all for GuildMag! They're also starting up a weekly podcast, the appropriately titled GuildMag Podcast. Brought to you by SabreWolf and Malchior Devenholm, the GuildMag Podcast will discuss the latest Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2 news every week, so be sure to tune in!

  • D.W. Kirin finished documenting her travels across Cantha in time for the Dragon Festival! Take a look at her in-game photo blog, A Tyrian Odyssey, and savor the sights of the Dragon Empire!

  • The Gaming World Entertainment Network is dedicated to providing in-game entertainment and event support for the Guild Wars player community! You may remember them from their successful Haiti earthquake relief charity fundraiser earlier this year. Help Gaming World Entertainment Network celebrate the launch of their brand new website on July 3rd in Shing Jea Monastery, Traditional Chinese Districts. They'll be partying all day long, with music, prizes, and fun! It all starts at 10:00 AM PST and runs until 10:00 PM PST. Head over to their website for more information about the launch event.

  • Calaval Elwvyan is a video maker dedicated to creating inventive Guild Wars fan videos. Check out Calaval's video creations, some of which include machinima, on his YouTube channel.

  • AriaSilverfyre is a video maker specializing in creating Guild Wars fan videos. Check out her videos on her YouTube channel!

  • The Photics—Guild Wars Edition fan ezine has been renamed to The Guild Standard with Issue #36, which covers recent Guild Wars 2 news.

  • On May 7, the inaugural issue of GuildMag, an online Guild Wars fanzine, was released to the public. To celebrate the launch of the fanzine, you're invited to join GuildMag staff, readers, and supporters to the GuildMag Release Party! It takes place on May 15 in Abaddon's Mouth, International Districts 1 and 2 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM PST! Join GuildMag for games, prizes, and trivia! For more information, check the event page!   • Show your support for the Unseen Ones and their White Mantle associates! MantleCon 1080 AE, formerly known as the Mursaat Rally, will take place on April 17 in Maguuma Stade International Districts 1-3 starting at 12:00 Noon PST. You can enter a costume contest, take in the Golden Theatre play, join the Search for the Unseen scavenger hunt, and other great activities! You'll have the chance to win in-game prizes, too!   • Gamers Giving Back and the Gaming World Events team will host a Toga Party in Chabek Village, Traditional Chinese District 1 on April 18 from 12:00-6:00 PM CST (GMT -6) in support of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada! They're going to host exciting activities that you can participate in, like Jeopardy!-style trivia questions about multiple sclerosis, global issues, and of course Guild Wars! They've got tons of prizes on offer, including an Aion wing code, a Bone Dragon Staff, Zaishen Keys, in-game gold, and much more! The out-of-game component of the event will see the event organizer and her family participating in the Walk for Multiple Sclerosis on April 25 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada—and they'll be sporting togas!   • Lorenna De Vir and the TGtL Alliance will be hosting a community event on April 24 in the Henge of Denravi, International District 1, to celebrate the fifth birthday of Guild Wars! They have various games and activities planned, such as trivia, raffles, and much more! In-game giveaways include five sets of Elite armor, Everlasting Tonics, Aion wing codes, and more! Malibu Barbie of Gaming World Events will be supporting the TGtL Alliance and will be the DJ for the event! In-game items will also be given out on the air.   • Bogus Dude is hosting a couple of YouTube competitions in gratitude for all the support and inspiration he's received from the Guild Wars community over the past four years! Both competitions will take place at 8:00 PM GMT on April 27! Up-for-grabs is a full Obsidian armor set, complete with assistance to get to the Fissure of Woe Merchant and a perfectly-modded Obsidian Edge.   • Bouye on the French fansite Jeux Online is the official voice of Uriel, the news reporter from Lion's Arch working at the Sunspear Chronicle newspaper. Uriel has been actively tracking the events of the War in Kryta and translating it for the French-speaking Krytans out there. Make sure to check the latest translations on the discussion thread.

  • Join the [KISS] Alliance as they celebrate their fourth birthday in their own unique way! Kiss Maragon is a two-day, riddle-based marathon through all four Guild Wars campaigns. You'll team up with [KISS] members to solve a series of riddles that will allow you to progress through the Maragon. As part of this event, the [KISS] Alliance will be handing out in-game prizes, including pets, weapons, mods, tomes, ectos, and more! The top prizes are three Obsidian Armor sets on any character of your choice! Kiss Maragon 2010 begins on February 27th in Kamadan European English District 1 at 14:00 BST and February 28th in Lion's Arch European English District 1 at 14:00 BST.   • Feed your inner beast! The Brotherhood of the Shadows Alliance is hosting a Canthan New Year event, the [bots] Tiger Feast! Join them in Shing Jea Monastery International District 2 and American Districts 36 and 69, from 12:01am PST on Sunday, February 14 through Monday, February 15 at 12:01am. The Brotherhood of Shadows will generously supply all the feast items to the Canthan chefs, and they'll have random giveaways and other fun activities!

  • D.W. Kirin runs a great Guild Wars inspired blog, which documents a character's journey through all of the explorable areas of the game. Check out A Tyrian Odyssey, and revisit Tyria!

  • Gaming World Events is hosting their very first Guild Wars in-game event this weekend, and it's for a great cause! "Gamers Giving Back to Haiti" will help raise money for the Canadian Red Cross and their relief efforts in Haiti. This six-hour event runs on Sunday, February 7 from 12:00—6:00 CST in Lion's Arch International District 1. On top of all the in-game prizes they'll be giving away, the Gaming World Events team will raffle off 10 copies of "The Art of Guild Wars 2" hardback books and a bunch of signed Guild Wars 2 art postcards, donated by ArenaNet. The goal is to reach $1337, because after all, we're gamers, right? Guild Wars Community Manager Regina Buenaobra will stop by to support the Gaming World Events crew. If you're unable to donate money, please attend to show your support and have fun! Check out the Gamers Giving Back page on Facebook, the Official Guild Wars Wiki event page, or this forum post on Guild Wars Guru for more information on the event, and how you can help the earthquake victims in Haiti.

  • Celebrate Canthan New Year with the "Eye of the Tiger" event, brought to you by M A L I B U Barbie, Anolie Midknight, Daniel Frozenwind, and DJ Popcorn. Join them for an in-game celebration of Canthan New Year and the upcoming Year of the Tiger! They'll have lots of in-game prizes and other cool stuff to give away.   • We're always on the lookout for new Guild Wars blogs, and this one hit our inboxes via Twitter. Guild Wars Bard, written by Laird (@HexDSL), features tutorials, commentary, and discussions about the game and community. Laird, an experienced podcaster, currently brings listeners the 404 Radio podcast and the One True Cast podcast, and plans to expand to podcasting about Guild Wars 2 in the future.
