Barony Of Firinn

The Barony of Firinn is the western most provence in the kingdom of Elisair, it is also seems to be one of the most favorite places for the forces of Diemetri to try and enter into Elisair. One of the reason is that Firinn has major trade routes, both by land and see, that go to the rest of the kingdom. Firinn is also where one of the 6 magical towers are in Elisair. These towers are the binding force that holds all the magics in place that are used to keep the landmass of the continent together.

The barony of Firinn was first established as fishing outpost and a way to get to the western most magical tower of Elisair. A garrison was also setup in case an invasion of the tower was done so that support could be given to the mages of the tower. It is the 6 Towers of Elisair that help keep the shape of the continent constant and the flow of magic viable. Without them, the whole continent would start to reform itself and magic would go wild.

The Capitol Of Firinn

The capitol of Firinn is Lintair, it is also the biggest city on the western coast of Elisair with That-Port, Tha Nor and Ettor being the only towns and villages that are farther west then Lintair. This city grew up around the Baronial Keep. Even though the Baron Meldan Riagall lives here, he is not the main ruler of Lintair, that job falls to the mayor of the city, Miss Teris Muirgen, who has been mayor of Lintair for almost 100 years.

Lintair has far surpassed its roots as that of a simple fishing village but has come to be a shining jewel in the west. It has fast farms, water ways and crafting centers that support thousands of people. The city itself has a population of over 20 thousand. 80% of all of the people in Firinn live and work in Lintair.

Even though it has a well staffed garrison and navy, Lintair is not above having problems with bandits and pirates. Since Lintair is so isolated, that leaves allot of room for the dregs of society to operate. When one leaves the walls and farms of Lintair, they are truly alone and subject to anything that might befall them. Bandits and pirates can even be a welcome with the other things that are in the wilderness. Vile creatures and cast of magic experiments inhabit the wilds and swamps of Firinn as well as other things to horrible to mention.

Other Cities

Lintair is not the only city to be found in Firinn, it is just the center that everything flows through. Of all the places in Firinn to visit, the largest are Ettor Village, Thar-Port, Tha-Nor and Larburgh. Of the smaller places are that of Aqualontair, Lochru and Holts Crossing. It is rumored that there is a city or 2 fare benieth Lintiar, one of the darker races and one of the goblin kind. As to the location of said cities, it is not known, but the mayor of Lintair and the baron of Firinn are actively seeking adventures to find these cities and report their findings.

If you hang around the wharves and back allies of lintair long enough, you can hear mention of a small outpost for smugglers and pirates in a place called Dar-Cay. Not even the noble know of this place, or if they do they are keeping it quiet. Maybe they are dealing with them to get merchandise that would not otherwise be available to them. If they are, they best hope that they are giving their proper cut to the local thieves guilde or there might be a few less nobles to see walking around Golden Square.
