Welcome to Elisair & The Barony Of Firinn

Firinn Of Elisair is a NeverWinter Nights PW or Persistent World. It is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with constant updates to both the world structure and scripting. It is a rich and vibrant world that you can get lost in and immerse yourself fully into it. One player said “....running around this mod I sometimes forget that I am playing NeverWinter Nights, its more like one of those RPGs that you would spend hours playing and wonder where the time went....”

Our goal is to give you a world that you can truly loose yourself in and become part of the world itself and not just seeing what the next thing to kill is. We believe that when you play your character that you should be able to be that character, leaving the outside world behind you and just being able to enjoy yourself. Isn't that one of the many reasons for playing on a RP server?

The world in which you play is constantly changing and molded a lot by the actions of the players. As more areas are added and more scripts put into play, you can see the changes constantly. We are always trying to make the world interesting and alive, wether it be with DM Quests, Player Guilds, inter character conflicts and more. We have even setup wilderness encounters that are not like others you may find in other PWs. Our random encounters are just that, Random! Some may scale to the level of the player or party, but most of the wilderness encounters are based in part from the 2nd Ed. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Masters Guide. Haveing overland encounters like this will always keep things interesting as you never know what it is that you might have to face, from lowly field mice to the deadliest of dragons. You just never know what you might find.

Another unique feature that is being scripted is that of our death system. On most world you either just respawn or you leave behind a standard body bag that has your name on it. Unless a person knows you, they will not know who or what they might be raising from the dead. In Firinn, we have come up with a way that when you respawn, you are going to leave behind a body that looks exactly like you do. When someone finds your body, they will know exactly what they are helping out. Now this is not HardCore Rules, there is a friendly way to get out of deaths clutches without loosing everything that you own. One thing to note is that after you have become more powerful, you will find that getting out of death's lands, but not totally impossible. - some might find it hard, but not many -

Much of the information that you will need to have for play in Firinn of Elisair with Neverwinter Nights can be found in the forum. A few things that should be mentioned, we are using the full HOU (Hoards Of The Underdark) and CEP (Community Expansion Pack) as well as custom haks that we have been developing for the game. We have also been changing the way that the standard NWN works by changing and incorporating 2nd Ed. AD&D rules into the game as well as that of the House Rules that were used for the table top PnP game that was run for years.

You never know what might happen in the land of Firinn. It is diverse and like nothing that you have played before. It has fully random encounters that sometimes happen only at certain times. The mod has at present, over 450 areas that the adventurous player can explore with more areas and quests being added all the time. We also have custom classes that are based on the House Rules as well as reworking the core classes to bring them more inline with the 2nd. Ed AD&D ruleset. The world is also very persistent and will have a unique death system in place that is tough, but not impossible. We want to make sure that our players have fun.

Many who play her and the DMs that are on are lovers of the 2nd Ed. Rule Set as well as D&D in general and have been playing both online and at the table in PnP games for years. Wether you are new to the games or a classic veteran, every one is welcome here. We are a community of gamers that are here to be able to have fun and to interact with one another in a truly marvelous fantasy setting that is Firinn Of Elisair.
